(Jackson, Miss.)—The Home Builders Association of Mississippi has endorsed Justice Mike Randolph in his campaign for re-election to the Mississippi Supreme Court.
“Having a fair and balanced Supreme Court remains critical to the business climate in Mississippi and our ability to create and keep jobs,” said Marty Milstead, Executive Vice President of the Home Builders Association of Mississippi. “That is why the Home Builders Association of Mississippi enthusiastically endorses Justice Mike Randolph.”
The Home Builders Association of Mississippi’s endorsement joins other groups who have endorsed Justice Randolph’s campaign including the Business and Industry Political Education Committee (BIPEC), the Mississippi Medical political action committee, the Mississippi Physicians political action committee and the Mississippi Manufacturers Association.
Justice Mike Randolph was appointed to the Mississippi Supreme Court in April, 2004, and was elected to the same position in November, 2004, with 65% of the vote. He has led the Supreme Court in majority opinions for the last four years. Prior to serving on the Supreme Court, Justice Randolph practiced law in South Mississippi for nearly 30 years. He was decorated for heroism while serving in Vietnam with the 1st Infantry Division (Big Red One). Justice Randolph has been married for 45 years. He and his wife, the former Kathy Webb of Ocean Springs, have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. He is a Member of Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for over 25 years.
The Southern Supreme Court District of Mississippi includes the following 27 counties: Harrison, Jackson, Jones, Forrest, Lamar, Pearl River, Hancock, Pike, Lincoln, Marion, Simpson, Adams, Wayne, Covington, George, Jasper, Clarke, Smith, Amite, Walthall, Lawrence, Jefferson Davis, Stone, Perry, Greene, Franklin and Wilkinson.
